Project Implementation Unit (PIU) plays a pivotal role in project coordination and management. The PIU oversees the implementation of project activities, ensures sound fiduciary management (both procurement and financial management), complies with World Bank fiduciary reporting requirements, carries out monitoring and evaluation, ensures compliance with social and environmental safeguards, and engages in communication and reporting. The Unit has multifaceted skilled professionals headed by the National Project Coordinator (NPC)
